Online Collaboration Tools 2.0

Hello, welcome back to my blog!

This is going to be the second part of the online classroom tools! I also find Conceptboard a really useful tool, even though it's quite similar to Twiddla (which was mentioned in my previous blog post), I though it deserved it's own blog post! These two tools and blog posts will be very essential for any teacher who is interested in Online Teaching!

What is Conceptboard

It's shared, persistent place where work gets done! Conceptboard enables your teams to collaborate and communicate better. You can also video call your team while using it, you can teach, have meetings, group projects, etc! The video calling feature is very convenient and it's one of the reasons why I wanted to talk about this tool as well!

Conceptboard Advantages:

  • Free to sign up!
  • Accessible to all devices from any location.
  • Includes a Virtual Whiteboard
  • You can host meetings online!
  • You can teach, coach, and observe your students' work!
  • Discuss ideas with peers or students
  • Collaboration in order to complete an assignment/ group work
  • You can also chat with others if you don't want to use the video calling feature
  • You can insert pictures, videos, screenshots, etc.
  • You can comment & discuss your content
  • Keep track of changes
  • Share & Gain knowledge by collaborating and interacting with others!
  • Unlimited collaborators IF you choose a paid plan.

Conceptboard Disadvantages:

  • In order to access the video calling and the screen-sharing features you have to choose a subscription! The prices range from $6 to $9.50 which is not that bad for what it offers!!

As you can see, there are not many disadvantages, which makes this collaboration tool very well made! I also had a little research into the web in order to see if any people had issues with the software and so far I couldn't seem to find anything negative! Ndeficiencies were found by other frequent or existing users!

Hi Vera!!Thanks for sharing the useful tool again! As long as I don't use video calls, conceptboard may be more useful for me! Since I don't have to worry about free 90days like Twiddla lol

Hi Vera! I didn't know this tool before. Thanks for sharing. I think it's always good to embed a tutorial video. The video helps me get to know this tool in a more direct and easy way. This tool seems very useful for making comments to something. Besides, I like the layout of your blog. You seem to have a good taste for art.

Hi Vera! Nice post! I suppose Conceptboard has more functions than Twiddla,as users could use video call in the meeting. Well, regardless of the disadvantage that it's not free, I might prefer to use Conceptboard because it has a good design and looks more user-friendly:)
