The software is called Venngage and it's a free infographics maker! And who doesn't love free things??? Especially when they make your teaching a lot more easy! Venngage can also be used outside the classroom as it allows you to create fun and stylish presentations, posters, images, etc. It takes out the frustration of creating and designing materials for school.
How to use Venngage:
Once you go into the site, you can create your own account with your email and password. After you sign up, you will be able to use a wide range of free features, however, for additional features there is an upgraded membership. The homepage of Venngage's website states that they have about 100+ infographic templates to choose from.
Designing in Venngage:
Venngage makes the designing process easier for you by providing you all the tools on the left-hand sidebar of the website. The 'Undo' and 'Redo' buttons are a convenient way to revert any mistakes without having to start from scratch.

One Venngage feature that I find very essential for designing is the text block, because it provides already designed logos and pictures that are ready to get copied in the text.

You can also add copyright-free images that are provided to the website by Pixabay and Unsplash. However, if you want to use your own photos, you can always do so from the Image Upload tab.

The website includes 35 different types of charts, such as line charts, pie charts and many more! Choose your chart type or data widget, add it to your design then click Edit Chart to input your own data.

There are also interactive elements to the infograhics where you can embed interactive pieces like YouTube videos, field forms, tables, and polls.
Sharing your Infographs:
When you finish designing your infographic in Venngage, you can download it as a PNG, PNG HD, PDF, or Interactive PDF. The Interactive PDF option is only available for the users of the Business plan.
Free account holders can publish or share their infographics online and embed them onto a website, but should upgrade to a Premium account if they wish to download the infographic and share it on social media. Premium account holders are also able to create private links to share with others.
I find this website really helpful and interesting! I will definitely use Vennage to create future classroom materials and I hope this blog post inspired you as well!
Thank you for reading! 😁

Vennage is definitely a much more interesting option! Plus it’s free too! Also, thank you for the useful tips on how to insert pictures whilst using Venngage. Well done Vera. 😊
Your graphic-guided step by step instruction is very useful. I really appreciate the tips as well and will definitely keep them in mind for future reference! ^^
